Santa's Sleigh Needs New Skis for 2011 santasleigh
Having more than my fair share of time to kill sitting up in the patrol shack at Mt. Shasta ski resort I got to wondering what kind of skis would Santa Claus want or need on his sleigh (I obviously need to get a life!!)?? Should they be fat or skinny, long or short? Would he prefer a really fast racing GS ski or maybe an all mountain shape?? The options are endless. After much deliberation and beer drinking I have come to the conclusion that an all mountain ski with dimensions somewhere between 125-92-112 mm to 135-98-118 mm would be perfect. Some skis that come to mind are the Dynafit Stoke, K2 Coomback, and my favorites Black Diamonds Verdict or Kilowatt. What Santa needs is a ski that can rip through all the crud snow full of deer ... stuff and also handle the white fluffy powww powww (yes that is three w's!!). Seeing as how some of those roof's are pretty steep his sled skis will also need to edge well on the hard pack so as not to fall off thereby dragging all the reindeer and presents over the edge. Anyhow I think Santa would really dig these newer skis and do some serious shredding out there on Christmas Eve.  Merry Christmas and happy skiing!!
