May Update Header
There is so much going on during these last few weeks of our Spring term that we thought we'd update you on several items:

Spring Term News
* There are no classes on May 31st, Memorial Day, unless you have pre-arranged
   a lesson with your instructor.
* Group classes continue through the week of June 7-13.  Private lessons can
continue according to your schedule set up with your instructor.
* There will be a monthly Family Session from 2-3:30pm on Sunday, June 13th
in the CIM common space.  Instructor hosts TBA.
* A very special THANK YOU goes out to all of our wonderfully talented students
who shared their gifts of music with the community at our Spring Recital last
week!  It is always such a joy to see and hear your progress!
Grand Old Day
We are happy to be sharing a float in the Grand Old Day parade on Sunday, June 6th with the Irish Fair of MN!  The parade runs from 10am-noon down Grand Avenue in St. Paul.  We need volunteers to help hand out CIM marketing materials and play instruments!  The sign-up sheet for volunteers is on the CIM office door.  Watch for more details soon.

Concerts/Workshops
* The HiBs concert at the Claddaugh in Maple Grove on May 29th has been cancelled.
Watch for upcoming HiB appearances this summer!
* Our own Danielle Enblom, together with Anna Lethert, will be offering a workshop
titled "THE HOUSE DANCES OF DONEGAL" from 2-4pm on Sunday, June 27th  (**This
is a rescheduled date!) at The Celtic Junction.  Anna has spent a significant amount
of time in the kitchens and pubs where these traditional dances can be found and
she's brought them back for us to learn! The dances include barndances, mazurkas,
highlands and waltzes and range from the simplest of steps that any beginner could
pick up to steps with fancy footwork sure to excite the seasoned dancer. No need
to bring a partner, all you need is yourself and any comfortable, stable pair of
shoes. As an added bonus, fiddle player Danny Diamond will be accompanying the
dance classes to play the Donegal dance tunes.  E-mail tcseannos@gmail.com  to
let Danielle and Anna know if you'll be joining them.  You can view more details at
