April 2010

WELCOME TO SPRING TERM
AT THE CENTER FOR IRISH MUSIC!
Dear CIM supporters,

The pace at CIM is continuing to gain momentum!  We shared our enthusiasm for CIM with both new and familiar faces via our booth at the IMDA's Day of Dance and St. Patrick's Day celebrations, we have joyously welcomed many new students this term (we now have a record 100 registered students!), and we are currently planning Summer programming.  But we are most excited about announcing our 2010 Young Irish Musicians Weekend master artists and programming (please see details below)!

As always, we thank you for your generous support of all that we do here at CIM.  We were humbled and overwhelmed with how many of you came out to support us at our 2nd annual fundraiser and instructors' concert on February 26.  Thanks to you we raised over $4000 that goes directly towards CIM programming!  A hearty THANK YOU goes out to all of the volunteers who made the night possible, especially those of you that donated items for our silent auction.

As we welcome the tulips and leaves back on the trees here in MN, we look forward to seeing you at our family sessions, our sponsored concerts, or at our end-of-year recital on May 23. Enjoy the beauty of this place we call home and the bounty of amazing music we have here in the Twin Cities' Irish community!

Sincerely,

The Staff, Instructors, and Board of the Center for Irish Music
