Hands-on Class:  Artisanal Bread 101

Is there any aroma that fills a kitchen with the same warmth and satisfaction as homemade bread?  This class - perfect for beginners and experts alike - will cover everything you need to know to make wonderful bread at home for any occasion. You'll learn all about kneading, proofing, shaping and washing your breads, as well as how to begin, maintain and utilize a sourdough starter. (And everyone will leave with their own starter as well as fresh bread!)

This class has limited space, so reserve your spot now, as we are sure it will fill up quickly! Join us for one afternoon, and enjoy the wonders of bread making at home for many years to follow!

Phyllo is an ingredient that so many people think is impossible to work with, but it's really not that hard!  You can learn how to use phyllo for any occasion in this class, and amaze your friends with your newly found mastery of this supposedly "difficult" ingredient.

Halloween's around the corner and pumpkins can be found everywhere! They're piled high at farm stands and farmers markets ... at supermarkets and lined up outside garden centers. Most will become Jack O' Lanterns, but pumpkins are not just for carving. Join Open Kitchen to create a Halloween Feast and learn how this versatile vegetable can be used in many delectable dishes from elegant appetizers to stews and desserts.
