At the request of many of our guests, we have added morning classes to our class and event schedule. Chef Matt Finarelli will kick off the program on Monday, September 20th. Classes will be held Mondays and Tuesdays between 10:00 am - 1:00pm. Register early for best selection of classes. Hands-on Class: Healthy Cooking: Greek Islands- Mon, Sept 20, 2010 With all the fresh food from the sea and the abundant use of olives and olive oils, the food of Greece easily lends itself to healthy eating. The food is usually accompanied by great friends, family and happiness, so this food is wonderful for the soul as well. The Greek diet is the perfect example of traditional Mediterranean eating. It's based around a variety of colorful and flavorful foods that are high in nutrients and low in animal fats. Hands-on Class: Gluten Free Baking - Tues, Sept 21, 2010 Baked goods are a favorite for most of us, but for those of us who can't have gluten in their diet, they remain a "forbidden fruit." So to help share the wealth, we have made this class to show you how to make some of our favorite baked goods, but in a totally gluten-free way. Even if you can have gluten, you may be amazed how great these products are - so come one, come all and enjoy these gluten free foods! Hands-on Class: Healthy Cooking: Napa - Monday, September 27, 2010 When the California Cuisine movement came onto the scene in the 1960's, it was a revelation for American cuisine. Use what's local, what's in season, and only use the best-quality ingredients. The result was a cuisine that leant itself to be paired with the great wines of the Napa valley when they came on the international scene in the 1970's. The result is a globally-recognized cuisine style that lends itself easily to healthy eating, and is best enjoyed with a glass of fine wine. Dine-Only Option
| Does your spouse, friend, or partner
love to cook, but you just love to eat? Well you can now join them
at the end of their cooking class and savor the menu they have
prepared. Open Kitchen has launched our Dine-Only
Cooking Class Participation for individuals affiliated with the students
taking our classes.
For just $25.00 you will be able to join your student one hour before
the end of the class and sit down to the meal prepared by the students.
Your meal is accompanied by one glass of wine, with additional beverages
available for purchase. Pre-registration is required to attend so we
can be sure to make enough food for everyone. And please note that all
Class & Event Policies apply to all guests, eg. registration,
cancellation, dress code, etc.
