Happy Labor Day!

Summer is over and the kids are heading back to school.  Why not expand your culinary skill by heading back to the "Open Kitchen" classroom?  Whether your interest lays in something as simple as eggs, bread or soup or as extravagant as Cooking with Shellfish or Tapas from Sevilla,  treat yourself, you deserve it!

You asked for it, so we delivered! When we ask the students who take our classes what classes they'd like to see, the response comes back over and over: "Do a class on eggs."  Well, we're happy to offer this class where you'll learn all about one of the staples of the kitchen, and the many ways eggs can be cooked and used for a variety of culinary applications.

Menu: Omeletes, Souffles, Soft-boiled vs. Hard-boiled eggs, Perfect Fried Eggs, Poached Eggs, Hollandaise Sauce, Mayonaise

KNife SkillsKnife Skills - Seeking Out the Cutting Edge Wednesday, September 8th
From beginner to seasoned professional, everyone who likes to spend time in the kitchen knows how important it is to have good knife skills. In this class, you will work with Open Kitchen's Sous Chef Matt Finarelli to learn the basics of knife usage, handling, care and safety as well as all the cuts that will make your food look and taste better. And of course, you'll be cooking and sampling the foods you slice in class!  Whether you're just getting started, or need a refresher course, this class will give you the confidence to cut like a pro!
Dinner in 20 minutes!
Participants will dine on meat, fish and vegetables that they cut during the class.

Dine-Only Option
Does your spouse, friend, or partner love to cook, but you just love to eat? Well you can now join them at the end of their cooking class and savor the menu they have prepared. Open Kitchen has launched our Dine-Only Cooking Class Participation for individuals affiliated with the students taking our classes.

For just $25.00 you will be able to join your student one hour before the end of the class and sit down to the meal prepared by the students. Your meal is accompanied by one glass of wine, with additional beverages available for purchase. Pre-registration is required to attend so we can be sure to make enough food for everyone. And please note that all Class & Event Policies apply to all guests, eg. registration, cancellation, dress code, etc.
