A Wonderful, Magical Animal: The Many Ways to Cook a Pig (hands on class) Monday July 12th
Description: It takes a certain kind of chef to put together a class
like this, and Chef Matt is just the chef to do this. He has been
cooking and loving the wide variety of meats that are available from
pigs for many years now, so much so that he actually has a tattoo of a
pig on his shoulder (which he'll gladly show you if you'd like). In
this class, you'll learn the wide variety of meats that are available
from a pig, as well as how to cook, season and match flavors with all
the different parts. (And he may even share a few of the secrets of
Open Kitchen's amazing pork pappardelle!) Sign up today, and learn how
the pig truly can be a wonderful, magical animal.

Important Information regarding Cooking Classes beginning in July
- Based on results of a survey of our cooking class participants, we have changed our class times to run from 6:30 - 9:30. People were commenting they preferred an earlier start time so that they weren't eating so late. NOTE: we will monitor to see how this goes...if it turns out that people also have a difficult time getting to the classes at 6:30 pm from work, etc, we may need to revert back.
- We have
implemented a Dine-Only option for a spouse or friend of the student to
join them at the end of class and enjoy the meal which they have
prepared.(See details below)
- We
have included in the July schedule those classes highly requested from
survey respondents: Baking, Knife Skills and Vegetarian classes. We
hope you will find these interesting as well.
