Grab your flip-flops, escape the cold, and celebrate for a cause!
Open Kitchen will set sail for our first-ever Caribbean Fest
an evening of Tropical Cuisine and Island Entertainment

Appetizer/Amuse Bouche
-Coconut Shrimp with mango dipping sauce
-Conch Fritters with spicy tartar sauce


Salad
Fresh Avocado served "on the half shell"
with cilantro and lime and topped with a Caribbean ceviche.


Main Course
Haitian braised pork loin with red beans & rice and fried plantains.


Dessert
Tropical Flambe Bananas served with Rum Raisin Ice Cream

Open Kitchen is a Culinary Space where you can enjoy bistro-style lunch or dinner, learn more about food & wine in our cooking classes, and build or expand your own culinary business from our Chef's Timeshare Kitchens. Each aspect of our vision comes together to form a true community for those who love to EAT, COOK and ENTERTAIN.  The Haiti Benefit Event is part of Open Kitchen's "Cooking for a Cause" program, established with a mission to actively identify and champion local and global social causes  through fundraising events.  We envision this program as a win-win endeavor that offers opportunities to our customers to support social causes through the enjoyment of good food, good wine, and good company.

On Thursday, March 11th, 150 restaurants in the Washington Metropolitian area will join together to support men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other life-challenging illnesses by contributing a percentage of their sales to Food & Friends

Open Kitchen will be donating 35% of our lunch and dinner sales - so, bring your family and friends and come on into Open Kitchen for a great meal on March 11th in support of this worthy cause!
