The Kitchen's Open and We're "Cookin" NOW!
Pots and pans were "clanging" this past week when Open Kitchen passed all final inspections and the cookin' began. Team members whirled around in a flurry of activity as they blended the finishing touches of the facility, whipped up the recipes for the Taste of Falls Church and folded together the ingredients for two private cooking class events, a Bridal Shower and a company Fun Day Event, held at the Bistro.
The
Cooking Classes are in full swing with registration being accepted online and The Chef's Timeshare Kitchens ready and available for you to get your own business cookin'.
September 29th will mark the opening of the The Bistro, Coffee and Tea Bar with regular business hours, listed below.
 Open Kitchen wins "Best Restaurant" at the Taste of Falls Church.
Offering up a Taste of the Bistro, Open Kitchen took Best Restaurant overall at the Taste of Falls Church event this past weekend. Vying for first place amongst 12 local restaurants including Argia's, Dogwood Tavern, and Clare & Don's, Open Kitchen's menu selections of Chilled
Mint Pea Soup, Farro Salad,(topped with Salmon, optional), Chimichurri
Sauce Meatballs and Moroccan Chicken Tajine with Vegetable Couscous charmed the judges taste buds and won the majority vote.
Open Kitchen would like to give special thanks to the judges participating in this years event:
Robin Gardner, Falls Church Mayor; Cathy Kaye, Falls Church Treasurer;
Rob Meeks, Falls Church Planning Committee; and Jimmy Scarano, Falls
Church Times Food Writer.
Festival goers also had the opportunity of sampling and enjoying the selections served throughout the day.
