OPEN KITCHEN HITS THE NEWS STANDS
Open Kitchen received a nice little write-up in the March 11th issue of the Washington Post. With the popularity of cooking classes growing across the country, the Post ran an article relating to "cooking classes as an alternative to dining out" Open Kitchen's new facility scheduled to open this Summer at the WestMetro Plaza in Falls Church, VA will meet this demand by offering three to five classes each week. In addition to our own Chef Bernard Henry, we will collaborate with local chefs to bring an assortment of "fun and spice" to each class.

OPEN KITCHEN FALLS CHURCH FACILITY UPDATE
We're pleased to say that our build-out process, located at 7115 Leesburg Pike, Unit 107, Falls Church VA, 22043, is progressing nicely toward our scheduled Summer opening. Our facility design includes an open/exhibition kitchen featuring a Bistro & Wine Bar, which will serve dual duty. Breakfast and lunch being served during the day and a variety of cooking classes offered in the evenings and on weekends. In addition, two commercially licensed kitchens -- one equipped for bakers and the other for catering caterers -- will be ready for those of you in the food business to rent by the hour, day, week or month. And finally, there will be a small Marketplace for the retailing sale of local artisan products, ranging from jams, jellies, and baked goods to culinary apparel and gift items. A special treat for those dining at the Bistro will be the open-air terrace for outside dining.

MEET OUR NEIGHBOR
Open Kitchen welcomes The Body + Brain Yoga Center to the WestMetro Plaza. Nahid Zarean and her team of yoga instructors, located in Unit #103, offer programs specific to children, aging adults, and individuals of any level, to promote health, happiness and peace through unleashing the potential of the brain. With that in mind, Open Kitchen and The Body + Brain Yoga Center will be putting together a wellness combo cooking class and yoga session to be offered at the Open Kitchen Bistro & Wine Bar once we open this Summer.

Washington DC and Montgomery County have declared the week of March 16th - 22nd as Brain Education Days. In celebration of their grand opening and Brain Education Days, The Body + Brain Yoga Center are offering a 30% discount, one free class and open yoga class every Saturday morning. BRIAR PATCH B&B COOKING CLASS WEEKEND - March 20-22
Open Kitchen's Chef Bernard will once again be featured as the guest chef for the Briar Patch Bed and Breakfast Cooking Class Weekend in Middleburg, VA this weekend. This fun filled weekend includes a cooking demonstration and four-course dinner with wine. The class is filling up fast, so please consult the Briar Patch for more information.
