Anderson wins final PGS, hints at 'alpine cross'
Canadian Olympic champion Jasey-Jay Anderson won the
final snowboard World Cup of the season Sunday, a parallel giant
slalom, ahead of fellow Canadian Matthew Morison, to close out his
career in fitting style. Anderson also told SRC's Gordie Bowles about his next project - getting FIS to approve a new 'alpine cross' discipline.
Lamoureux locks down halfpipe crystal globe
It was quite a finish for Canadian halfpipe riders competing at the LG
snowboard FIS World Cup Finals at La Molina, Spain. Mercedes Nicoll
took the second position in the women's halfpipe contest and Justin
Lamoureux the third position in Saturday's men's contest under
difficult riding conditions and soft snow.
 Canada takes top perch among ski cross teamsThe Canadian ski cross team was crowned the top ski cross nation in the
world Friday at the World Cup Finals in Sierra Nevada, Spain. The 20 World Cup medals won this season by the Canadian team athletes
set a record for the three-year-old organization and also contributed
to Canada taking home the Nations Cup for freestyle for the third
straight year. New-look Nakiska hosts Canadian alpine nationals
As Nakiska Ski Area plays host to the top ski racers in Canada during
the GMC Canadian Championships, there will be a few significant
differences between the 2010 event and the alpine events of the 1988
