Renner revs it up for Canmore podium magic
Canada's Sara Renner picked up a bronze medal in
front of an ecstatic hometown crowd Saturday in the 1.4-kilometre
classic sprint at a cross-country ski World Cup event in Canmore. She credited the podium to being "at home, at peace and having lots of
support from people," in the small community that hosted cross-country
skiing in the 1988 Olympics.
"I have to say the home advantage is incredible," she said. "It's a little town that believes in its people, small and big." |
