Ski cross team nabs 3 podiums Sunday in France

Ashleigh McIvor of Canada and Xavier Kuhn of France won World Cup ski cross races on Sunday. Kuhn defeated Stanley Hayer of Canada to win the men's event. McIvor beat Canadian teammate Julia Murray in the women's final.

Hail Heil: Canadian savors moguls twin kill

The crowd wanted an encore - and Jennifer Heil delivered. The Spruce Grove, Alberta, athlete dominated the field Saturday night at a World Cup moguls event, earning her second win in as many nights and seizing control of the overall standings.


Janyk posts fastest 2nd run, snags 6th at Zagreb
Giuliano Razzoli earned his first World Cup victory on Wednesday, leading Italy to a 1-2 finish in a slalom. Canadian Michael Janyk finished sixth after turning in the fastest second run.

Legendary Whistler photographer Paul Morrison, a senior photographer for SRC Magazine, captured Whistler at its January finest during the Deep Winter Photo Challenge last week. The fourth annual photography contest challenges five professional photographers to shoot in-bounds at Whistler Blackcomb for three days, capturing athletes in their natural mountain habitat of powder-filled bowls, deep pow trees and après bars.

World Cup ski cross stars primed for Blue Mountain

The International Ski Federation World Cup tour is finally coming to Southern Ontario. The Rockstar Ski Cross Grand Prix at Blue Mountain Resort Jan. 19-20, 2010, part of the FIS freestyle World Cup, will showcase the world's best ski cross racers - including Canadian World Cup and World Championships medallists - just weeks before the 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Old man Anderson notches more PGS hardware

jj andersonJasey-Jay Anderson of Mont-Tremblant, Que., won a snowboarding World Cup parallel giant slalom race Wednesday and increased his lead in the discipline standings. Former overall World Cup champion Nicolien Sauerbreij of the Netherlands beat Alexa Loo of Richmond, B.C., in the women's final.

Anderson opened the 2010 PGS season with a fifth place at Telluride but was able to come back and win back-to-back races to currently sit alone in first place of the World Cup standings in alpine snowboarding.
