The Power of Word
Teach for America-St. Louis Hillel partnership 
St. Louis Hillel is proud to announce a new partnership with Teach for America-St. Louis that will provide a cohort of students with the leadership skills and resources to create and implement their own social justice initiatives that fuse hands-on service with advocacy.
This exciting opportunity is open to current Wash U students and will take place during the Spring 2012 semester. It will include a three-part leadership training series and access to influential community leaders, on-going mentorship and funding.

Takkana Social Justice Initiative: Seeding a Sustainable Future
Jan. '12-Nov. '12, Trip to Muchucuxca, Mexico May 2012
 If your vision of social justice moves you to get out into the world to be an agent of social change, the Takkana Initiative is for you. Participants will learn about the pressing issues of our time including environmental sustainability, food sovereignty, community greening and what it takes to feed our world. As part of this initiative, students will have hands-on opportunities to work in a traditional Mayan community in Mexico, be a part of a new educational garden in a St. Louis public school, and engage with local and national leaders.
Registration is open now! Cost is $250 which includes program fee and travel to Mexico. Space is limited to 10 select students. So, apply now!

Jewish Disaster Response Corps Spring Break Service Trip to Alabama
Saturday, March 10-Sunday, March 18
Be a part of St. Louis Hillel's exciting new collaboration with JDRC. Students will volunteer alongside the Hillels of Metro Detroit, NYU and George Washington University in a week of work with Habitat for Humanity assisting communities in Alabama who were affected by the tornadoes.

AJC Goldman Fellowship Program This highly selective program is the opportunity of a lifetime! ...An international, paid internship focusing on the field of diplomacy, policy, intergroup relations, human rights and non-profit management. Fellows will engage in advocacy, research and programming, working in mentor relationships with senior staff and taking part in conferences and meetings.
Fellows receive a stipend of $3,000 plus major travel expenses. The fellowship runs from May 29th through July 27th.
Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP) CLIP is a 10-week, paid summer internship experience in New York City that matches undergraduate students interested in Jewish life and culture with engaging internships at a variety of for-profit, non-profit and Jewish communal organizations.

Trek Leaders Wanted for Jewish Summer Camp Adamah Adventures is an outdoor adventure summer camp for teems in the Atlanta and Southeast region.
