Join St. Louis Hillel for the first Shabbat Dinner of the school year! Dinner will be held in Holmes Lounge on Friday, September 2nd at 6:30 p.m., immediately following Shabbat services at Hillel at 5:30 p.m.

Jewish Community Relations Council of St. Louis seeks Applicants for the 2011-2012 Academic Year MAZON Hunger Fellow The fellow will work approximately 15 hours per week from mid to late September 2011 through May 2011 and engage in anti-hunger activism in the St. Louis community. The Fellow selected will arrange a specific work schedule with his or her supervisor at the JCRC. A stipend of $3000 will be provided to the Fellow. Requested knowledge of basic Hebrew and prayer skills as well as classroom experience or informal education experience. 4th Grade Judaics Teacher Seeking a teacher for two sections of 4th grade Judaics, holidays and Torah. Around the Community 
Wednesday, September 21 - 1:30pm The Saul Brodsky Jewish Community Library will present a screening of the film The Golden Age of 2nd Avenue, followed by a discussion led by Bob Cohn, editor-in-chief emeritus of the St. Louis Jewish Light. The documentary recounts the birth of Jewish American culture.
The program will be held at the Jewish Federation Kopolow Building, 12 Millstone Campus Drive. Movie snacks and drinks will be served.
