Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in 24° Sagittarius
Wednesday, June 15
1 PM Pacific time / 4 PM Eastern time
Due to the timing of this event, the eclipse on Wednesday will not be visible in the US. However, we will all feel (Moon) the impact of this critical event.
What makes this eclipse so meaningful is that this time the Moon exactly conjuncts an astrological point known as the North Node. This rare positioning hasn't happened in 11 years and won't happen again until 2018. The previous eclipse of this nature took place on July 16, 2000.
The nodes are considered to be karmic points. The North Node is an indicator of what you came into this lifetime to accomplish as opposed to the South Node which reveals what you have already fulfilled on a soul level.
If you really want to get the most out of this eclipse, think back to the previous one in July 2000; a significant phase of your life that began then is now up for review and/or renewal. (To help jar your memory, think back to the summer after the supposed year 2K computer meltdown that did not happen.)
Are you ready to up your game plan? This important reciprocal eclipse of July 16, 2000 occurred on the Cancer/Capricorn axis. To really understand how this affects you it is helpful to examine your natal chart by sign and house. This is where the services of a good astrologer come into play!
The current eclipse of June 2011 occurs on the Sagittarius/Gemini axis. Remember that Sagittarius is the sign of following our dreams - finding the pot of gold at the end of our rainbow. What's Going On? Astro*Time Line June 15 - 30
As we move past the dramatic Lunar Eclipse of June 15th, the planets rise to deliver support for our efforts.
Thursday the 16th Mercury enters Cancer - a sign that improves our intuition, but tends to delete our logic. This is a good time to institute new habits, as the watery cardinal sign of Cancer favors action, but also loves repetition. Mercury is in Cancer until July 1st. Mercury also makes a favorable and flowing trine to Neptune on the 16th and another favorable sextile to Jupiter on the 17th. These aspects again enhance the benefic qualities of this placement.
Friday the 17th also presents another favorable trine between Venus and Saturn. This is a good time to seal your commitment. What was hard can find ease and flow with this aspect. And, with Saturn involved, the changes are long lasting.
Saturday the 18th - The Moon enters Aquarius at 4:47 AM PDT. Early in the afternoon, Mercury activates Uranus, this time by a square or challenging aspect. Fortunately, Mercury and Uranus are 'good in bed' so to speak; Uranus incites Mercury to new levels of inspiration and genius. Enjoy.
June 19 - 25: Mercury opposes Pluto just after noon on Sunday the 19th (Father's Day.) This will incite truth telling at some family gatherings. With the moon still in Aquarius, the caution is to avoid expressing only dogmatic opinions, and to reach out for compassion and truth.
Mars enters Gemini on Monday the 20th. This placement lends a breath of fresh air to our activities. Reach out, work with your hands, and try something new that you have never done before!
Tuesday the 21st - Summer Solstice. This special day brings us to the first day of summer, as well as the point of stillness. Mars square Neptune on the same day is a message that we can confront negativity and no longer allow deception; this day delivers a synchronistic message of TRUTH. The solstice is followed up by a harmonious Sun trine Neptune on the 22nd; if you create a space in your heart for ease and flow, ease and flow will fill the void.
