The Pisces/Virgo axis is considered to be the most healing combination. This is easy to understand if you think about the health related qualities of Virgo and the compassion of Pisces. Also, remember that Pisces is the last of the zodiacal signs and relates to surrender as well as repose. Pisces also rules the feet, and has a dynamic connection with meditation; think of the information revealed through meditation as providing information as to which path you will walk. March 4th begins the new cycle with 5 luminaries in Pisces, the Sun, Moon, Mars, Chiron, and Uranus.
Surely we are witnessing the power of Uranus on the world stage as Uranus prepares for entry into Aries. Look for events to culminate as the Sun and Uranus join in Aries on March 21st, the day after the spring equinox. Uranus has an 83 year cycle and previously entered Aries in April of 1927. One of the things I like most about living in Los Angeles is finding old astrology books at the shops, and, amazingly, last week I purchased a book printed in 1935 titled 'Mundane Astrology' signed by the author, CC Zane. CC Zane founded a
metaphysical school - the Brotherhood of Light. It has been most interesting to read his real time commentary on the world events of 1927. He talks about political corruption, coal mine strikes, and business trade relations.
These are Zane's words on Uranus: 'he likes to be a law unto himself . . . he is the planet of liberty and favors direct action however marked by violence'. Zane also mentions flaming oratory, and the connection with the invention of television and aviation. Now, we can watch the unfolding of revolution in real time on CNN. The author also mentions that Uranian revolutions often end in chaos because the people are so incited by individuality that they cannot agree on new leadership, and the real power broker becomes Pluto!
In 1927, Pluto was in the controlling but nurturing water sign of Cancer; now in 2011, we live with the sharp edge of Pluto in Capricorn. Perhaps Saturn in Libra, the sign of his exaltation, is standing watch on our behalf. One thing that Capricorn cannot control is the healing energy of positive human potential; and this is our final freedom.
