Mercury Retrograde April 17 - May 11.

In Taurus, Mercury likes to learn more by experiences; travel and actually being there and doing it are emphasized over theoretical learning. Mercury in Taurus is generally a time for conservative mental processess and a time to make solid and grounded gains. (William Randolph Hurst and Rudolph Valentino are two examples of people born with Mercury in Taurus.)
However, after the 19th when we have the Sun in Taurus and Pluto retrograde in fellow earth sign Capricorn. With Saturn in Virgo after the 8th, and Jupiter and Uranus in watery Pisces, it can feel a bit like trudging through the mud. Stay aligned to the 'two steps forward and one step back' concept to keep on track.
Understanding where and how the sign Taurus plays in your personal chart helps to utilize this grounding albeit dense energy.
The New Moon of April 14th falls in the cardinal action starting sign of Aries. So, even though we are feeling dense and clinging to security, it's a grand time for fresh starts. With Mercury retrograde, this one may be refining or revisiting a previously unfulfilled endeavor. Think of it as a second chance, and remember to stay grounded while continuing with slow secure gains. The Full Moon of April 28th is in Scorpio. For some, this is your time to fly. Remember that Scorpio is the sign of transformation and the renewal process that gives life to a butterfly out of the cocoon. Align yourself with the protection of Mother Earth; now you can take wing and FLY.
