 Winter Solstice 2009 * Circle of Light
Greetings,
Hello and sending my holiday wishes to you all. Today we begin the time known as Winter Solstice. The term 'solstice' is formed from the Latin words 'sol' (for Sun) and 'sistere' (to stand still.)
Over the next 3 days, December 22, 23, and 24, Gaia and Sol slumber through the darkest days of the year. Astronomically, the earth is at maximum tilt away from the Sun. Next we will see Sol climb once again to the northern latitudes. On December 25th the Sun begins his trek north; like the symbology of this holiday season, the Sun rises again to bring light and illumination to us all.
Sacred Space
Take time during these next few days to create a sacred circle of light in your home. Candles, communion with family and friends, meditation, and prayer all serve to strengthen your connection to Spirit.
This year, these most sacred days are blessed by the planets. Hold on to the promise of Jupiter and Neptune as they join together in the late degrees of Aquarius. Some astrologers declare this combination a bubble of false hope, but it can also assist you to name and embrace your most positive dreams. Allow this special holiday season to feed your spirit of devotion.

Bless your home with light and protection and know that we are all moving into a New Age of peace and personal empowerment. The shift of 2012 will be a positive rebirth for humanity. What is ending is the reign of terror by the powers of darkness. Remember that you have the power within your body to create the heart based feelings and emotions which will positively change your physical world.
These are indeed trying times; however there is no need to look ahead to the future, or back into the past. The Divine Being to be born is YOU, and the time is NOW. Hold on tight Beautiful Child, as dark shifts to light and yin becomes yang; it is just the world turning over.
