24/7

When this year's 24-7 Prayer Room opens Sunday at 7 p.m. in Mesa's Worship Center Lobby, it will open participants to God's Word found in the book of James and to new and interactive, visually stimulating, and mind engaging prayer.

Each year's 24-7 Prayer Room is different. Some years it has been based on a particular passage of Scripture -- the Sermon on the Mount, for instance, for last year's 24-7, and James this year. Other years, each station has been topically geared for arenas of life that desperately need prayer, such as the nation, or children's welfare, the homeless, or persecuted Christians.

But, through the years, the common thread has been a room filled with creative stations designed to help participants experience an hour of uninterrupted, focused, intimate time with the One True God.

When Lourdes Carreras attended her first 24-7 hour, she said it helped her think in a concentrated way about matters for prayer that she might otherwise only slightly consider once a year, if that. It taught her to think of different things to pray about and be grateful for than she had considered previously.

This year, she has moved from appreciating to designing one of the nine stations around the passage in James that tells us that every perfect gift comes from above. Read More Here

New Web Features!

Have you seen the new features on the Web site?

We have been able to add two really wonderful pages to the Prayer page of Central's Web site.

Prayer Devotional.

For a long time we have wanted to add a daily devotional strictly on the subject of prayer.  We were able to find one and get it embedded on our site.  Each morning a new devotion comes reminding us of some aspect of prayer. I have been doing it for a month or so now and love it.  Give it a try and see what you think.

Go to Central's Web site, CentralAZ.com. Click on Connect. Click on Prayer. On that screen you will see a banner that changes every four seconds. One of the banners is the prayer devotion.   They are short and thought provoking.  Let us know what you think.

 Prayer Testimonial.

Also we added a place for people to put testimonies of answered prayer.  We are collecting them for encouragement.  If you have a great story of how God answered prayer in specific situation please enter it at this link.

The Fentress County prayer group is following the lead of a similar group that started in a neighboring county.  Get the full story; read the article and watch the newscast
