God Weaves a Prayer Tapestry for Mike

Looking back, they marvel at the coincidences that wove a tapestry of friendship and former strangers, circumstances and skills into a journey of prayer for healing and life.

Larry Vaughn recounted it all for his friend, Mike Hazel, in a DVD shown at a recent reception celebrating Mike's life as a new Christian and newly-released after nearly five months of struggling for that life in a hospital and then in an acute care facility.

Larry titled the DVD, "A Love Story, or, It Might Be a God Thing." Both Mike and Larry say they know the tapestry was not woven of random coincidences, but by the hand of a loving God who knit Mike together in his mother's womb and still has plans for him in this life, plans that include knowing how much God loves him and sharing an incredible testimony of healing and prayer with others.

Mike recounts that he was reared as a Catholic and knew of Jesus, but he admits drifting away from any relationship with Him "until God got my attention."

"I heard doctors saying I was very sick," Mike said, "but until I watched the video Larry put together, I really didn't have a clue how sick I'd been...or how much my story touched other people."
