Jennifer Kennedy DeanGlendale Campus Welcomes

School of Prayer

What a wonderful opportunity the Glendale campus experienced Saturday, April 16th.  Jennifer Kennedy Dean was the guest speaker at Central's School of Prayer.  For our church family on the East side of town, you have been hosting and enjoying the School of Prayer for some time.  For the church family on the West side, this was our first opportunity. We weren't sure what to expect, but whatever that expectation might have been, I am confident that this day went above and beyond. The people who attended walked away blessed and encouraged with anticipation for the next one. In fact many of the people who attended are still a "buzz" about the School of Prayer event on the Glendale Campus. Read More Here

North Africa

North Africa Prayer Group

Celebrate with us!  Our N Africa Prayer Group is now in its fourth month!  It has been an incredible experience to learn about what the Lord is doing in Moonstar (code-name for the country we are praying for).  Since the birth of our group, the people of this nation have been through a revolution, transitional governments and have been given some expanded freedom to learn about Jesus through the internet and other ways.

Seems pretty intense, huh?  Well, maybe for our human minds, but God understands, and He still wants us to come to Him on behalf of the people of Moonstar and His workers there.  And, what better time to intercede for those who are lost and have this window of opportunity to seek the Truth!  Because we are in contact with friends in the country, we receive bi-weekly updates which help us pray for specific people and situations - and we are able to hear of answered prayer, too!  We also have in our group a family from Central who is moving to this area this summer.  We have been praying specifically for their needs and praising our Father for His blessings as they prepare to go.

We are so blessed to have had at least 10 people at each meeting, and even more praying with us from home.  And, there is always room for more!  We desire to lay the foundation of prayer for our new Church-based Global Outreach Teams to N Africa and we want you to be a part of it.  We send out prayer updates and have meetings on the Second and Fourth Monday evenings of each month.  Please contact Lucy Walton at

waltonfamily11@yahoo.com  to be added to the email list and for specific time and place for our meetings.

A month ago, the Prayer Ministry Team dreamed of Easter 2011 as covered by 100 intercessors praying through all the services at all four campuses for God's Word and blessing to flow powerfully through Central.

Come Easter, God had faithfully and abundantly provided 108 people with hearts to step up to do just that: pray for all to experience God's love and salvation message through everything from parking attendants, greeters, child care servant ministers, pastors, the Worship and Drama Teams, to the tech, lighting, and sound personnel, Starting Point advisors, ushers, and our facilities team. Read More Here

AMAZING EVIDENCE THAT THE LORD HEARS PRAYER AND CONQUERS DARKNESS

While the following story hasn't been broadcast on a network or printed up in major newspapers, it is big news-and very good news-to those at Central who have met or support the mission work of John and Julie Liles in Indonesia. The story below, which was sent out in their periodic email, is an amazing account of prayer and God's mighty power.  Some of the names of individuals have been changed to help believers avoid persecution. Read more.
