Summer is just about over...the Minnesota State Fair opens tomorrow, Princeton Outlaw Grass Drags are this weekend, HayDays Grass Drags are in two weeks, and countless other events across the country. | AMSOIL Expands Signature Series, XL and OE Lines |  With the continuing trend toward lighter viscosity motor oils, AMSOIL has expanded the Signature Series, XL and OE lines. The Signature Series line now includes a 5W-20 oil (ALM), while the XL and OE lines now each include a 0W-20 oil (XLZ, OEZ). ExxonMobil and Castrol Announce Price Increases

ExxonMobil announced today it will increase its branded and unbranded lubricant and grease prices by up to 5%. This increase is effective September 16, 2011.
Castrol announced it will increase the price of its passenger car motor oil, motorcycle oil and commercial lubricants by up to 5%. This increase goes into effect Septemeber 26, 2011. |

Shell and Valvoline Announce Finished Lubricant Price Increases
Shell (SOPUS Products) announced a finished lubricant price increase on August 5, 2011. Prices for select products will generally increase up to 5% with an effective date of September 19, 2011. Ashland also announced it will increase prices on Valvoline lubricants effective September 19, 2011 by up to 6%. [Full Story]
CITGO announced a price increase this afternoon for CITGO, Milemaster, Mystik, and Clarion lubricants of 4 to 6%. This increase is effective September 19, 2011.
Interestingly, the 110% you can pull from CITGO prior to the increase starts on orders from August 9. Marketers say this is unusual because it means if you ordered a week ago (hedging your bet), based on the letters marketers received, those orders from a week ago are going against your 110% allocation.
ConocoPhillipsalso announced a price increase this afternoon. ConocoPhillip's increase is effective September 16th and moves prices up 5 to 8%. |
