Coming Very Soon: The New Installer Program

 

AMSOIL constantly monitors conditions in the lubrication industry in order to maintain its position at the forefront of the synthetics market.  The new Installer Program, to be introduced in the November AMSOIL Magazine, incorporates the lessons we’ve learned in the 14 years since the introduction of the AMSOIL 7,500-Mile/Six-Month Oil Change Program.

 

The new Installer Program features a more inclusive name indicating the broader reach of the Do-It-For-Me (DIFM) market to include car dealerships, service garages and other lubricant installers in addition to quick lubes and oil change centers.  It is estimated that 70 percent of all passenger car motorists are DIFM customers, with that number expected to grow to 80 percent by 2018.

 

The AMSOIL Installer Program will be broader in its product offerings and all new literature, including a new Installer Kit for Dealers pursuing this market segment and a new set of accompanying point-of-purchase materials.

 

There are currently as many as 100,000 businesses in North America that offer an oil change or lubricant installation as standard service, including more than 16,000 dedicated quick lubes, 21,000 car dealerships and more than 60,000 other business such as tire and lube shops, full-service auto shops and garages.  In short, the installer industry is not a market AMSOIL Dealers can afford to ignore.

 

If you have attended one of the recent regional fall sales meetings, you know that AMSOIL is going to new heights to help you tap into the very lucrative installer market.  And from the sound of things, many of you cannot wait to get started.  For those who have yet to attend a meeting, you are in for quite a surprise.  If you haven’t pre-registered for one of the remaining meetings, do so today.  You will not be disappointed.

 

We believe that this program will significantly broaden opportunities for Dealers.  Do your homework and get in the game.  This is your call to action to increase your sales and to support your downline.

 

·        Call on that installer that has turned you down in the past or perhaps one that you have hesitated to call on.

·        Explain the importance of the installer market to members of your personal group and encourage them to pursue that business.

·        Make the new Installer Program materials a topic for your next Dealer meeting or newsletter.

·        Contact your Regional Sales Manager with questions, advice and ideas on approaching this market.
