Spring has sprung...the snow is almost all gone in our yard, and the Harley was out for a short ride yesterday. And spring also means our trade show season is going to kick into high gear soon. A few upcoming events are listed below...we will list more on our Facebook page and on upcoming newsletters. AMSOIL U is just around the corner and is still at a great price until March 31. Dealers attending the University qualify for a 10% Rebate on an order placed at the U. Let us know if you are thinking about attending, we may have some tips that can help you decide. Do you have a website for your AMSOIL business?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A presence on internet is a proven must for almost any successful business in today's media-centered society. There are 3 inexpensive, simple ways for you to get a website for your AMSOIL business. One main rule, your domain name can not have AMSOIL in it.
- AMSOIL Basic website - $30 for first year, $20 after that. Minimal work for you, AMSOIL creates, sets-up, and maintains the site. You add your name, contact info, and pick part of domain name (www.lubedealer.com/yourchoice)
- AMSOIL Premium Zone website - As an added benefit to the Premium Dealer Zone you get a better version of the basic website. More customize choices...add pictures, events, about you page for $10/month ($120/year)
- Microsoft Office Live offers a free website with up to 5GB of storage. You would create and design the pages and links to the AMSOIL corporate store. You pick the domain name.

Technical Service Bulletin - Engine Sludge Issues
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ According to the July 2009 report from ConsumerReports.org, engines from four different automobile manufacturers are candidates for possible sludge problems. To satisfy customers, Audi/Volkswagen, Lexus/Toyota and Saab have all extended their warranties to eight-years/unlimited mileage. Chrysler/Dodge is the only manufacturer without an extended warranty program and handles claims on a case-by-case basis.

Changes to T-1 Certification Program
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It has been more than three months now since AMSOIL implemented a
revised T-1 Certification Program aimed at creating a higher percentage
of lead follow-up within the Dealer network. The revised T-1 Program has
enabled us to more efficiently and effectively respond to potential
customers while increasing the opportunity for conversion by the
assigned Dealers. It has also generated a lot of Dealer feedback
concerning these new qualification standards:
- Qualification Option 1: A Dealer must earn commissions of at
least $10 and have at least one new personally sponsored customer in 3
of the 4 programs (Dealer, PC, ROTS, or CA) in the past six months.
- Qualification
Option 2: A Dealer must earn commissions of at least $10 and have 10 or
more new personally sponsored customers of any category in the past six
months.
The most common concern among current T-1 Dealers is that requiring
new customers in 3 of the 4 programs every six months or 10 new
customers overall every six months would be difficult standards for most
Dealers to achieve. After evaluating the Dealer feedback we have
received and after crunching the numbers, AMSOIL decided to revise the
qualification standards for a Dealer to remain eligible for the Leads
Program and the Dealer Locator. The new qualification standards are: - A
Dealer must earn commissions of at least $10 and have at least 1 new
personally sponsored customer (Dealer, PC, ROTS, CA) or 5 current
customers (active Dealer/PC or protected ROTS/CA) in their personal
group in the last six months.
