Greetings DJs,
The Dealer Sales Department is continually sharing the
message as to the importance of sponsoring new Dealers. As you have no
doubt discovered, sponsoring can increase your income, expand your business,
provide security and lead to personal recognition. The simplest
definition of sponsoring might be "maximizing your effort." But it is
important to remember that sponsoring is just the first step in the process of
maximizing your effort.
The next crucial step in this process is the training of
your personally sponsored Dealers. If you want to maximize your effort, proper training
is a must. Attention must be paid to the responsibility of training and
motivating those Dealers in your personal group. The AMSOIL business
opportunity is built on this premise. A trained and motivated Dealer is going
to be a much more valuable member of your team and a much better representative
of AMSOIL in general. And isn't that what we all want?
We hear from Dealers who have spent time going over the
basics of the AMSOIL business with someone outside of their line of
sponsorship. Most AMSOIL Dealers are like family and are more than happy
to assist. But, isn't basic training the responsibility of the sponsoring
Dealer?? We understand that sometimes sponsors are physically a great
distance away from members of their personal group, but with today's
technology, training long-distance is not an obstacle. Whether it's via the
phone, email, video conferencing or in person, AMSOIL Dealers should be in a
position to make a connection with Dealers they sponsor regardless of their
geographic location. Is every Dealer in your personal group going to seek
your assistance or embrace your business philosophy? Probably not, but
it's a sponsoring Dealer's responsibility to find out which ones want to be
trained, mentored or coached and to provide them with a certain degree of
support.
This is a message that is much too important not to hammer
home from time to time. So as you prepare for a new year, remember to
share this message with members of your team. Sponsor! Train!
Retain! These three words translate into the formula for long-term
success as an AMSOIL Dealer.
