AMSOIL Premium CJ-4 Diesel Oils

 AMSOIL has reformulated its Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 Diesel Oil (DEO). In addition, AMSOIL now offers a new 15W-40 Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic Diesel Oil (DME). These exceptional diesel oils provide a level of protection afforded only by a truly high quality synthetic oil - and do so over drain intervals of 3X OEM recommended drain intervals. They are the premium choice for API CJ-4 emission-compliant diesel oil required by model-year 2007 and newer diesel engines. Formulated for vehicles fitted with exhaust treatment devices, DEO and DME are also backwards compatible, offering maximum protection to all diesel applications.
New Drain Interval Recommendations
AMSOIL Premium CJ-4 Diesel Oils are recommended for extended drain intervals in engines that are unmodified and in good operating condition. For most AMSOIL motor oils, AMSOIL has defined normal and severe service and set mileage-based drain interval recommendations according to those parameters. The drain intervals of AMSOIL Premium CJ-4 Diesel Oils, however, are determined in a slightly different manner due to the wide range of drain interval recommendations. In diesel applications, the recommended drain interval for AMSOIL Premium Diesel Oils is three times (3X) the
original equipment manufacturer's (OEM) recommendation, not to exceed 50,000 miles/600 hours or one year, whichever comes first. Drain intervals can be extended further with oil analysis. In gasoline applications, the recommended drain interval is two times (2X) the OEM recommendation, not to exceed 15,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. In addition, normal and severe service are defi ned by the OEM, not AMSOIL. To determine the drain interval for a particular diesel application, refer to the owner's manual for the OEM's definitions of normal and severe service and multiply
the OEM's corresponding drain interval recommendation by three for the recommended service interval for AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Diesel Oils. For example, if the OEM recommendation for normal service is 10,000 miles, AMSOIL Premium Diesel Oils would be recommended for 30,000 miles.
Premium Synthetic Formulation
AMSOIL Premium API CJ-4 Synthetic 5W-40 and 15W-40 Diesel Oils are engineered using the latest,
highest-quality synthetic base oils and most advanced additive chemicals. Their heavy-duty detergent/dispersant additives and 10.4 TBN formulation control soot thickening from exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) and blow-by to protect against corrosion and cylinder bore polishing (wear) and help prevent the formation of varnish/sludge deposits. AMSOIL Premium Diesel Oils are shear stable and provide exceptional oxidation stability to resist heat and breakdown in high temperatures. In
addition, their low sulfated ash formulation promotes long diesel particulate fi lter (DPF) life.
Maximum Fuel Economy, Reduced Oil Consumption
AMSOIL Premium CJ-4 Diesel Oils have a very low high-temperature volatility rate (burn off). Because less oil vapor passes into the combustion chamber, oil consumption and emissions are reduced. Additionally, lower volatility helps AMSOIL Synthetic CJ-4 Diesel Oils retain their viscosity after high-temperature service for continued dependable protection and excellent fuel economy. In fact, the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) Federal Test Procedure (FTP) confirms that
AMSOIL 5W-40 Diesel Oil provides up to 3 percent better fuel economy than conventional 15W-40 diesel oils. Maximized fuel effi ciency, extended drain intervals and reduced oil consumption add up to maximum value and minimal environmental impact.

AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease

 AMSOIL has developed a new line of heavy-duty greases designed to excel in the extreme environments faced in heavy-duty off-road equipment. New AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease (GPOR1, GPOR2) combines an over-based calciumsulfonate
complex thickener and a proprietary synthetic polymeric system to provide outstanding
performance in heavy-duty off-road applications.
AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease resists pound-out and signifi cantly reduces the amount of grease ejected during repetitive pounding action. In fact, AMSOIL Off-Road Grease reduced consumption by as much as 50 percent over competitive greases tested. Its superior pound-out resistance combined with extended service intervals and superior protection result in reduced lubricant, labor and equipment-replacement costs. A typical off-road application will consume one cartridge of grease per greasing. When compared to Caterpillar Ultra 5 Moly Grease, AMSOIL Synthetic Polymeric Off-Road Grease provides an annual savings of $671 per machine. Based on price and service life, use of AMSOIL Off-Road Grease can save a business operating a fleet of five pieces of equipment $3,355 annually; afleet of 25 saves $16,775 annually. Additional savings are
realized through longer equipment life and reduced maintenance costs. Off-road bearings, bushings, pins and other components can have a total replacement cost of as much as $24,000. Maximizing the life of equipment components is high-priority for maintenance managers and equipment owners.

| AMSOIL EaO09, EaO10, and EaO57 Oil Filter Change Recommendations

AMSOIL has changed the recommended change interval
for EaO09, EaO10, and EaO57 Oil filters used with any Toyota/Lexus application
or with the Pontiac Vibe 1.8L engine built by Toyota.
AMSOIL now recommends changing EaO09, EaO10, and EaO57
Filters used in the above-listed applications according to the filter
change interval recommended by your vehicle manufaturer. Refer to your
owner's manual. Customers operating with any of the above-listed
applications with an EaO09 or EaO10 Filter in service beyond the
vehicle manufacturer's recommended interval should change the oil
filter at the earliest opportunity. If the oil light is triggered, the
