AMSOIL Diesel Recovery (DRC) is an emergency diesel fuel treatment that quickly dissolves the wax crystals that form when diesel fuel has surpassed its cloud point. It liquefies gelled diesel fuel and thaws frozen fuel filters, avoiding costly towing charges and getting diesel vehicles back on the road. Diesel fuel quality varies from one filling station to the next, and low-quality fuel can have a cloud point as high as 4.4°C (40°F), making Diesel Recovery a necessity for diesel operators in cold-weather climates.

In order to test the performance capabilities of Diesel Recovery, AMSOIL commissioned an independent laboratory to perform an evaluation. Test results indicated Diesel Recovery effectively outperformed the competition in regards to lowering both pour point and cold filter-plugging point.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally was once again a huge success for AMSOIL, “The Official Oil of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.” The AMSOIL team put in some long days to promote AMSOIL products to bikers from around the world, and attendance at this year’s rally seemed to be well ahead of last year. Like last year, the AMSOIL logo was impossible to miss, as it was displayed on signs throughout the city of Sturgis, including a banner that greeted visitors as they rode into town.

The “AMSOIL Rumble in the Hills” NAHA hillclimb event was a big hit again this year. The racers were fearless as they climbed 300 feet straight up the hill attempting to cross the AMSOIL Finish Line.

A great deal of hard work goes into planning, preparing and working this event, but it is well worth it considering the extensive exposure that was generated for all AMSOIL Dealers. The AMSOIL team will be back at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally next year, the 70th year for this great bike event. Remember to tell your customers that if they want to “Ride Hard and Run Cool” they should be using AMSOIL.

MANN filters are now available for Toyota, Lexus, Scion and other applications to replace the AMSOIL EaO09, EaO10 and EaO57 filters. Recommended filter change intervals for these MANN filters have been increased to 7,500 miles when used in conjunction with AMSOIL motor oil. AMSOIL EaO09 and EaO10 filters are available while supplies last, and the EaO57 is no longer recommended for Toyota applications. Driven by increasingly stringent emission and fuel economy standards, Toyota has informed its dealers that the company will begin requiring SAE 0W-20 synthetic motor oils in new Toyota, Scion and Lexus vehicles over the next several years. Other OEMs are expected to follow suit by 2011. Among the benefits cited by Toyota are enhanced protection at high and low temperatures, improved fuel economy and reduced engine deposits. In addition, Toyota is reportedly studying increasing oil drain interval recommendations to 10,000 miles.

AMSOIL 0W-20 Synthetic Motor Oil (ASM) is the superior choice among
0W-20 motor oils on the market, offering maximum power, performance and fuel economy and extended drain intervals of 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first.

Due to limited sales, AMSOIL Ea Crankcase Breather Air Filters (EaAB) and AMS-Oiler Pre-Charger Units (AMK01, AMK02) are discontinued. EaAB filters and the AMK01 are available while supplies last. The AMK02 is no longer available. Effective October 1, AMSOIL will no longer carry Twin Air products.
