Updated Motorcycle Oil White Paper Shows AMSOIL Synthetic Motorcycle Oils Still On Top

ATL QuartAMSOIL synthetic motorcycle oils provide outstanding protection and performance for today’s high-stress motorcycle engines, and the AMSOIL “A Study of Motorcycle Oils” white paper (G2156) has served as an effective tool for Dealers in their efforts to help customers make educated decisions regarding which lubricant is best-suited to provide the best possible protection for their motorcycle investments. AMSOIL once again subjected AMSOIL Synthetic 10W-40 and 20W-50 Motorcycle Oils and a wide range of competitors to the same battery of tests and once again, AMSOIL synthetic motorcycle oils came out on top.

With nearly seven million motorcycles registered in the United States, and an increasing number of new customers buying motorcycles every year, the AMSOIL motorcycle oil white paper is a valuable tool for AMSOIL Dealers. Sitting down with prospects and reviewing the results will leave no doubt which motorcycle oils provide the best protection for expensive motorcycle investments.

New AMSOIL Field Study Proves Quality of
AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Diesel and Marine Oil

In order to test the performance capabilities of AMSOIL Synthetic 15W-40 Heavy Duty Diesel and Marine Oil (AME), AMSOIL sought a partner with a fleet that operated in truly severe conditions. The perfect match was found in Duluth, Minn.-based Nordic Waste. Nordic Waste operates a fleet of 10 International refuse haulers, providing trash and recycling pickup to residential and commercial customers in the greater Duluth/Superior, Wis. region. Nordic’s trucks operate in the bitter cold of sub-zero winters, as well as on humid summer days that can top out at over 90ºF. The fleet runs 12 hours a day with frequent stops and redlined starts, all while hauling up to 22,000 lbs. of refuse and navigating the seriously steep hills of Duluth.

See the July Action News for more information, or order the AMSOIL Refuse Hauler Fleet Field Study Brochure (G2695).

Vehicle Market Shows Signs of Stability

According to J.D. Power and Associates, the new vehicle market is showing signs of stabilizing. “Industry sales are starting to show signs of stability – albeit at levels near 30-year lows – as the retail sales SAAR (seasonally adjusted annualized rate) has been at or near the 7.8 million-unit level for the past three months,” said Gary Dilts, J.D. Power and Associates senior vice president of global automotive operations. “In spite of continued supply corrections, we remain optimistic that coming months will exhibit stability with a modest increase in the second half of the year, which is in line with our 8.5 million-unit retail and 10.4 million-unit total light-vehicle forecast for 2009.”

J.D. Power and Associates estimates vehicle demand could increase by 20 million units over the next five years as the economy and credit environment improve, the number of households increases and customers return to the market with more vehicle equity.

“We expect market conditions to slowly improve during the remainder of 2009, which will lead us back to a solid industry with improved long-term fundamental growth,” said J.D. Power and Associates executive director of global forecasting Jeff Schuster.
