Vehicle Owners Consider Maintenance a Top Priority
According to the recent 3M “Elbow Grease Economics” study, vehicle owners are placing a greater priority on vehicle maintenance than ever before. The study of 1,835 American car owners revealed the following:
- Thirty percent consider keeping their current vehicles running, without performing or paying for a lot of repairs, their largest vehicle challenge.
- Twenty-two percent consider improving fuel mileage a priority.
- Twenty-five percent pay more attention to vehicle maintenance now than they did two years ago. Eighteen percent of owners between the ages of 18 and 25 pay more attention to vehicle maintenance now than they did two years ago.
- Female vehicle owners are just as focused on keeping their vehicles maintained as male vehicle owners, with 26 percent indicating their vehicles are one of their biggest investments and 32 percent indicating they are taking better care of their vehicles because they can’t afford a new one.

EaO Filters – Reduced Filter Change Interval Recommendations for Toyota Applications
When used in conjunction with any Toyota/Lexus application, or with the Pontiac Vibe featuring the 1.8L engine built by Toyota, AMSOIL now recommends changing EaO09, EaO10 and EaO57 Filters per the OEM-recommended change interval. Current customers using these filters should be informed of the need to change them sooner than originally recommended. | A Technical Changes Tracking Page is available in the Dealer Zone that announces the type of changes that have occurred on revised data bulletins. The Product Data Sheets Technical Changes Tracking Page lists the G-number, title, last revised date, new revised date and types of changes that have occurred, i.e. adjustments to typical technical properties, new photos, grammatical changes, etc. It is important for Dealers to ensure they are distributing data bulletins that are updated with current, accurate technical information. The Technical Changes Tracking Page can be accessed through a link at the top of the Product Data Sheets area of the Dealer Zone. |

EaO50 Oil Filter
The new AMSOIL EaO50 Oil Filter is available for purchase. When used with AMSOIL Synthetic Motor Oil, it is recommended for up to 25,000 miles or one year, whichever comes first. General applications include GM 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, 6.2L and 7.0L V8 engines featured in the following 2007, 2008 and 2009 models:

The G2685 Motorcycle Filter Wrench is designed for 2000-2008 Harley-Davidson Twin Cam applications and can be used to install and remove AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Oil Filters EAOM134/134C and EAOM135/135C. The G2686 Motorcycle Filter Wrench can be used to install and remove AMSOIL Ea Motorcycle Oil Filters EAOM103/103C and EAOM109/109C.

Press Release Template for AMSOIL U Attendees
AMSOIL receives occasional requests for a press release that AMSOIL U graduates can send to their local newspapers regarding their recently-completed advanced training. A press release template (MS Word .doc) is available to AMSOIL University graduates in the Dealer Zone. Press releases can be sent to the Managing Editor or Business Editor of local newspapers.
SDF88 Temporarily Unavailable
Due to the high demand for the recently-launched AMSOIL SDF88 Oil Filter for Ford 6.0L/6.4L Power Stroke diesel engines, the inventory of this product will be depleted within the next week. AMSOIL offers the Donaldson P550528 oil filter as a replacement. Both the SDF88 and the Donaldson P550528 filters should be changed at original equipment manufacturer (OEM) recommendations. AMSOIL anticipates the SDF88 will be available by July.
AMSOIL University 2009 Wrap-Up
 More than 300 AMSOIL Dealers and Direct Jobbers completed four days of classes and social activities in conjunction with AMSOIL University May 17-21, 2009 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center (DECC). The Dealer training included classes focused on sales, technical and administration topics. While attending the training, Dealers had the opportunity to tour the AMSOIL manufacturing plant as well as the new AGGRAND production facilities. In addition to the four days of instruction, President and CEO A.J. Amatuzio hosted a President’s Dinner for all AU attendees to thank them for the commitment and investment in their AMSOIL business. Registration for AMSOIL University 2010 is already underway with information available in the AMSOIL Dealer Zone under the Training Tab, AU 2010 Registration. The dates of the training are May 16-20, once again to be held at the DECC in Duluth, Minn.
New Package Size for AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 European Motor Oil
 AMSOIL Synthetic 5W-40 European Motor Oil (AFL) is now available in five-liter bottles. Most European automotive applications feature a larger sump capacity than their U.S. counterparts, while European owner’s manuals generally detail fluid capacities in metrics. The new five-liter packaging offers added convenience for European car owners. Five-liter packaging is denoted by the suffix 5L (AFL5L).
