Greetings Friends,
It is time to roll up our sleeves and get to work now that August is here. Most have their vacations behind them and are getting set for school. Before we jump into the fray, take time to remember why you are doing what you do.
Photographers capture a glimpse in time. It is a way to connect to a past memory with emotion and is a tremendous responsibility. Don't think of your next client as just my next session, capture their child's essence. Take your time, don't rush through the day.
Also don't forget about your quality of life. If you provide your best effort to each client, then you flat out deserve to be compensated accordingly. When the compensation you receive matches your effort, then you will no doubt be able to provide the quality of life you are looking for.
We operate our frame business with your business as a guiding force. Your success will equal our success. One of the ways we believe we can help your success is a more proactive relationship. This will include many improvements over the next several months (personnel, webstore, visualization, onsite visits, amazing new product and display tools).
The hiring of Bryan Galeazzo to represent Hand Crafted Framing for the states of Alabama, Georgia and Florida is a great start. Bryan has grown up in the photography supply business and understands what customer service is all about. We are very excited about all Bryan will add to our company.
My wife and I own Hand Crafted Framing (portrait frame supplier since 2004) and The Portrait Gallery (children's photography studio open since 1991). We have three children Ellie, Charlie (pictured) and one on the way.
You are working with a family owned business that does 100 percent of our cut/join, assembly and finishing work in the USA.
Thank you for your time,
Serse & Brad Salmons Hand Crafted Framing

Shipping Rewards Program Updates
The Shipping Rewards Program is an exclusive service offered by Hand Crafted Framing. Basically when you order 5 or more products at a time we issue you an eGift Certificate equal to 50% of the cost of your shipping.
Shipping Rewards had always been limited to HCF choosing the product. You can choose whatever product you would like (except easelbacks, framing supplies and volume or show discount items). Now that our evaluation period has ended, we have Great News. We are going to make SRP eGift Certificates permanent.
The updated guidelines as of 8/1/2008 are:
1. SRP eGift Certificates will now be for 50% of the cost for shipping-supplies.
2. SRP eGift Certificates will no longer expire. (starting with those issued after April 30, 2008)
3. SRP eGift Certificates will use the same number and we will recharge the certificate when rewards are earned.

Tracy from Alabama called with some great questions about glass spacers and when & how to utilize them.
Definition:
Spacers are s trips of wood, matboard, or plastic placed in the rabbet (under the lip) to keep the glazing and image separate. This can provide a degree of protection from condensation that can form on the glazing due to temperature difference inside & outside of frame.
Learn more about when to use or not to use framing spacers on our site.
