 |
Ft. Bend I.S.D. students are truly enjoying the experience of visiting the University of Houston
|
On February 3rd First and Goal, Inc. in partnership with Ft. Bend ISD took students from their Care and Share mentoring program at Oyster Creek, Barbara Jordan, Quail Valley and Jaun Sequin Elementary on a field trip to the University of Houston. The students had an opportunity to visit the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work, College of Technology for a presentation and met with students and staff. The students were exposed to the various aspects of life as a college student. Our goal was to expose the students to a college so that they could see and experience what it will take for them to make it a reality in their own lives. There was also a general tour of the campus nd a stop at the University of Houston Athletic and Alumi Center.
