Meet Our New Instructors!
Diana Garcia-Snyder discovered Pilates as a way to keep herself strong and injury-free so that she could continue her work as a dancer and choreographer. She completed her mat Pilates teacher training in Chicago in 2003 and received her full Pilates certification at Vitality Pilates . She is also a Vinyasa yoga practitioner and holds a Masters Degree in Dance and Movement Research from the University of Washington. She has integrated Authentic Pilates and the STOTT Pilates method into her teaching, allowing her to draw from both classical and contemporary approaches. Also, Diana's 20 years of professional dance training (ballet, modern dance, and butoh) give her an expert eye for movement. Diana's yoga background also allows her to integrate effective yoga stretches into her client's workouts. She is a patient and thoughtful instructor and enjoys working with beginners, pre-natal and post-partum moms, people who work for long hours at their desks, as well as more advanced clients such as dancers and athletes.
Rosie Tkaczuk received her BA in Dance from California State University of Long Beach in 2003 and while in the program, she was introduced to Pilates. It was a great way to tone up, increase her body awareness, and improve her posture, and her dance technique improved significantly as well. She was certified from Body Arts and Science in 2002. This specialized BASI certification program included all the traditional Pilates mat and apparatus exercises plus a large unit on dance specific exercises included in most Pilates certifications. After getting certified, Rosie began working at a physical therapy clinic and became interested in the rehab aspect. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Virgina Commonwealth University in 2009. She is excited about getting back into the studio to teach clients how to understand their bodies, get them stronger and achieve their goals.
