From The Garden

I admit it. I am a fall color

snob from growing-up in New England. It was always a spectacular show! When I traded coasts to come to college at OSU I was happy to see the colors on campus but some years were good and others well...not so much. And the same went for the hills and forests of our wonderful state. Make no mistake you could not get me to move out of Oregon for anything, I love it here!

This is one of those great years for color and we've had some beautiful sunny afternoons. As I drove home the sun light is perfect and the fall color is really starting to shine thanks to the cool nights, shorter days and just the right amounts of sun and rain. When I look at my property I realize how lucky I (we) are. Although, I can find a spot or two that could use a bit more fall color, I couldn't ask for a more beautiful place to live.
