Fall color is upon us and we are getting to enjoy the last treasures from our garden. The tomatoes are ripening (finally!) and now is the time to think about getting ready for spring smiles by planting and fertilizing.

7th Annual Zucchini Festival Winners
Our Zucchini Festival proved to be another year of creative entries. Although the weather this year did not produce the abundant zucchini crop we are used to, we still managed to have numerous entries that made us smile. Thank you to those who submitted nominations.
Our best dressed zucchini (pictured left) stole our hearts. The largest zucchini was a hefty 12 lbs.

Darren's Gardening Tips
October is the perfect time to plant spring bulbs, trees, shrubs, perennials, ontion, garlic, and berries! For the optimal germination, plant soon and the winter rain will get your plants off to a great start. Remember to consider organic fertilizers and lime for best results
If you weren't happy with your lawn this summer, it is the perfect time to consider thatching or aerating. See more info on our latest blog. Also consider overseeding grass and treating weeds, pests, and fungal diseases.
Now is the time to buy roses! They are still showing some bloom and on sale for $10 each (while supplies last).
