The Sixth Floor Museum observes the 45th anniversary of President John F. Kennedy's assassination with a series of public programs.

Tuesday, November 18 at 7 p.m. - Kenneth Salyer, M.D.
Dr. Salyer was a resident surgeon who briefly tended to President Kennedy at Parkland Hospital the day of the assassination.  This will be one of the few times he has spoken about that experience since his Warren Commission testimony.  He is the founding chairman and director of the International Craniofacial Institute and was the lead physician in the recent separation and reconstructive surgeries of conjoined Egyptian twins Ahmed and Mohamed Ibrahim.

Thursday, November 20 at 7 p.m. - Reverend William Holmes  The former minister of Northaven United Methodist Church found himself in the national spotlight after President Kennedy's assassination provoked him to preach a sermon critical of Dallas' social and political climate at the time.  He received both public support and death threats, prompting police protection after portions of his sermon aired on the CBS Evening News with Walter Cronkite.  Reverend Holmes will redeliver his sermon and talk about Dallas' 1960s history.
