Greetings!
Remember the commercial with the parent strolling down the shopping aisle and "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is playing in the background? That will be you as you shop for back-to-school clothing at Little Lords and Ladies!
The best time to SAVE is Friday - Sunday, during the State of Virginia's TAX FREE Weekend. As you may have heard, you do NOT need to have school-age children in order to take advantage of this special tax holiday. LLAL will pay the tax on any item in the store (our gift to you!), including large items, where you can really save! Read on for store hours and other attractions (like summer clearance and lemonade!)

Shop TAX FREE!
 Skip the tax when you shop the first weekend of August! Many of you shopped this week and put items on hold for purchase this weekend. TAX FREE Weekend hours are: Friday + Saturday = 10 AM - 6 PM
Special Sunday Hours = 1 PM - 5 PM
Stop by to shop, say hello, or pick up your items "on hold"! Don't forget to bring quarters and visit our For-Charity Lemonade Stand on Saturday! |

Consignor's Corner
 Summer clearance means good deals for shoppers, but if your items have a pick up date of 7/30/11 and you want to pick up your items that haven't sold, come in by the end of next week (8/13) or your items are subject to donation. Thanks! We are now accepting LARGE ITEMS! Thank you for your patience while the front room was used for Art Camp (KidsArtCamp.com!) They sure enjoyed themselves! If you have several large items, please call ahead before loading the van/truck, so we can tell you which ones we will accept or check our UPDATE page online! Note: Although we do accept Drop offs of Fall/Winter items until October, it is best to get them in ASAP since the fall/winter buying season is upon us. Please let us know if your bin has holiday items, so that we can try to get them on the floor well ahead of time. :) As a special favor, If you can avoid bringing in Drop Offs During our TAX FREE Weekend, we would be grateful. The store is sure to be busy with shoppers and we want to give you our full attention when we see you! Thanks so much!

Barter's Wanted!
 Pssst!We are looking for a few good moms, grandmoms, (or even dads!) to help us hang, tag, sort and fill the racks with the thousands of pieces of clothing, shoes and toys that have arrived over the summer! If you LOVE Little Lords and Ladies, have at least 4 hours a MONTH to give and want to help out, please see Charlene or Shannon about the many perks at LLAL. We have a great team and would love to enjoy working with you too! |

We look forward to serving you by recycling your kids' gently used clothing, giving you great bargains on name brand clothing, or by babysitting while you go out to eat (just kidding!) Brian is away at camp this week and so, sadly, cannot write his "Words of Wisdom" this month. Surely, he will be full of exciting tales upon his return! Until then, See you around the shop!
