The Lemonade Challenge!
What is the Lemonade Challenge?
This an opportunity for children to put together a Lemonade Stand and choose a local charity to benefit from the proceeds. They are responsible from putting together the stand, making lemonade, selling, and presenting the proceeds to their chosen charity.
Which Charity will it be?
We have 3 young Girls from the shop that have chosen Western Fairfax Christian Ministries, http://www.wfcmva.org/ . WFCMA are dedicated "to serve the rising numbers of disadvantaged people living in the local community". And we need your help to in making this a successful and fun family event.
When and Where?
Friday and Saturday, August 5th and 6th from 10am-2pm. Rain or Shine.
We will be hosting the stand under a canopy outside, at the front of the shop.
How can YOU help?
1. Come and Support the charity by buying a glass of Lemonade and other tasty items
2. We would also love to have YOUR Son or Daughter to give a helping hand at the Lemonade Stand. Anything from an hour or two, perfect whilst Mum or Dad are shopping inside.
3. and if your child is a Scout this a Wonderful opportunity to gain Community Service hours.
What other ways can Our Family Help?
1. WFCMA is also collecting Brand NEW schoolbags and backpacks. Their goal is 1000 bags for local school kids. Please NO wheeled bags.
2. Donations of Groceries and Toiletries is ALWAYS welcomed and easy way to help.
3. Remember those buy 2, get 1 free offers? How about donating your Free item?
