Greetings!
The best laid plans of mice and men? You will find some links to this below in Nuts!!! and a Sorry Tale. It has now become very clear to me that I must add another eBook to my list starting right now. I feel that the time I had hoped to devote to creating jewellery must take a back seat. I can still enjoy this but something is urging me to follow my heart, yet again.
There are just two workshops scheduled at my consulting rooms in Weston-super-Mare so if you are thinking about attending one of these let me know. These may well be the last I will offer here for the for-seeable future. I believe that my work with Diabetes Mellitus type 11 will need a great deal of my attention.

Many Blessings Liz

Diabetes Mellitus type 11
|
I will be adding Diabetes Mellitus type 11 to my list of eBooks and eCourses. I am lucky enough to have access to the very latest medical research via my fellowship of the Royal Society of Medicine. I have been amazed at what I have stumbled on recently and I realise that it is high time that I started putting everything together so that I can pass on knowledge to those who are suffering from this disease. Believe me some people suffer greatly just for the want of the information that could help them. I have been asking myself why this is now such a serious problem throughout the World and I wish to discover as much as I can. The reason that I originally started studying Nutritional Medicine was because my mother developed this disease in her forties. She died over 11 years ago from a stroke and having had both feet amputated due to the this disease or rather dis-ease. I wanted to make sure that I did not go the same way. To cut a long story short I have full blown Diabetes now but I take no medication whatsoever. However I do everything else I have learnt along the way to help myself. I am now in the best health of anytime during my nearly 60 years of life.

A Sorry Tale
A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package. What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it." The mouse turned to the pig and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The pig sympathized, but said, I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers." The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is amousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!" The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose." So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone. That very night a sound was heard throughout the house -- like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey. The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital, and she returned home with a fever. Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup's main ingredient. But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer butchered the pig. The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them. The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness. So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember -- when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.
We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

The Lion, the Mouse, and the Fox - Aesops Fables
A LION, fatigued by the heat of a summer's day, fell fast asleep in his den. A Mouse ran over his mane and ears and woke him from his slumbers. He rose up and shook himself in great wrath, and searched every corner of his den to find the Mouse. A Fox seeing him said: "A fine Lion you are, to be frightened of a Mouse." "'Tis not the Mouse I fear," said the Lion; "I resent his familiarity and ill-breeding." Little liberties are great offenses.

Nuts !!!!
If you read last months Newsletter you may remember I was talking about it being a brilliant year for my nut harvest. I also mentioned that I left a few nuts outside for the mice, rats, squirrels, my dog Bob etc. I put thousands into my larder for later use in a colander for air circulation. Last week I looked into the colander and there were just four nuts in the bottom of it. The mice had obviously found their way into the larder from outside and now have a very nice store of nuts for the winter. I feel their need was much greater than mine. I still have quite a lot in my kitchen so am happy to share with them. So be it.
