Hello to our incredibly dedicated community volunteers,

You're invited to attend an incredible workshop on January 20th. This is the first of monthly trainings scheduled for 2010.

Volunteer Project Leaders work in conjunction with our United Way Volunteer Center to regularly manage volunteer projects. Project Leaders receive specialized training and help to serve as the "eyes and ears" of the affiliates at each project, acting as a liaison between the affiliate, volunteers, and the organization where the volunteer project occurs.

As a Project Leader you will have the opportunity to work closely with an organization and its clientele to make a significant impact in our community. Not only will you be effecting change in the community you serve, but you will also create meaningful service experiences for other volunteers.

By attending this training, we are asking that you commit to acting as a liaison for United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties' Volunteer Center for a minimum of six months, with one scheduled project a month, based on your schedule and availability.

This training made possible by a grant received from HandsOn Network and Disney.
