UCP of East Central Florida has provided services to local youth and adults with disabilities since 1969. They serve over 575 individuals each year in Volusia, Flagler and surrounding counties. Some of the programs include providing employment training and life skills training for people with disabilities. These programs help all who receive services, and those who want to be independent. Once someone gets a job, they contribute to the local economy.

Thanks to your continued giving, advocating and volunteering you are helping to make sure that people right here in Volusia and Flagler Counties feel the warmth of the season throughout the year.

Live United This Holiday Season 
We've made it easy to Live United this holiday season with our 12 Steps to Live United This Holiday Season. 12 simple ways to give, advocate, and volunteer to help change our community and bring the warmth of the season to your friends, family, and neighbors.
Here are some examples:
1. GIVE.
Giving has always been at the heart of the season. Take the time today to make a donation to the United Way of Volusia-Flagler to help support our local community. You can also make a donation in someone's name. Donate online. This year we are seeing alarming increases in the need. Thanks to all of those who have the courage and conviction to donate during these trying times.
2. Shop!
You have to do it anyway, why not make sure that your shopping helps to change lives?
Shop at businesses that are participating the in the Live United Holiday Promotion. Simply Shop and Speak Up to have a portion of your sale donated to the United Way!

New Way to Give with Ebay
eBay Giving Works and MissionFish make it possible for United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties to harness the incredible fundraising potential held by the billions of dollars in trade that takes place each year in the world's largest e-commerce platform.
Next time you are selling an item on eBay, consider donating a portion of the sale to your local United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties. Participating sellers are rewarded for their generosity with special eBay Giving Works features that help them get more bids and higher sale prices. The nonprofit receives recognition in the listing and benefits from the seller's success. MissionFish and eBay will also issue tax receipts for your donations.

United Way, Women's Initiative and Community Foundation Give $20K to Help Local Area Food Banks
Board members of the United Way of Volusia-Flagler Counties, the United Way Women's Initiative and the Community Foundation of Volusia- Flagler have authorized the allocation of $20,000 to help local area food banks this holiday season. The first $10,000 was distributed last month from the United Way's reserve funds and the second $10,000 was authorized last week to come from the Women's Initiative and the Community Foundation each offering $5,000 to help local food banks to fulfill their ever rising needs.
The United Way has also been holding a Live United Community Food drive since November that has which has been able to make weekly drop offs to more than 7 different area food banks. The food drive continues until December 19th. This has been a great community effort which has included such participants as Embry-Riddle, Caplan Management, ITT Corporation, The United Way's Flagler Advisory County Members, Volusia Literacy Council, Volusia Pines Elementary School, Toast Masters on the Halifax, The Daytona Airport Softball Tournament Participants, Children's Advocacy Center and many more community groups and individuals.
