Where will you be? |
It's that time of the year again and our local non-profits need your help!! Make A Difference Day 2008 is October 25th! Known as the "national day of doing good" Make A Difference Day is a national effort designed to mobilize citizens in communities across the country in volunteer service-Neighbors helping Neighbors. Created and sponsored nationally by USA Weekend, this is the 18th Annual Make A Difference Day. Thousands of people, young and old, are committed to spending Saturday, October 25th making a difference through service projects in Volusia and Flagler Counties.
We have an incredible variety of projects this year, ranging from fundraising walks to donation drives of those desperately-needed supplies for foster families, to the first Daytona Beach Half Marathon, to home builds and rebuilds, and of course our traditional landscaping and painting projects. New projects are being posted daily. Please also keep in mind that projects are adopted on a first-come-first-serve basis until the maximum number of volunteers requested has been confirmed. So, get your forms in early!
Help us show our community what it means to LIVE UNITED! We look forward to your participation in Make A Difference Day 2008.
