The Corvallis Clinic hires Director of Quality Improvement

CORVALLIS - Mohamed Alyajouri has been promoted as Director of Quality Improvement and Informatics at The Corvallis Clinic. Alyajouri is responsible for quality and process improvement initiatives throughout The Clinic.

"I'm excited to take on this new challenge to deliver better care to our patients," Alyajouri said. "The Clinic has always taken steps to focus on the patient experience. Improving quality through informatics and process improvements is yet another great step."

Alyajouri has worked at The Clinic for seven years as both a business and clinical analyst. An expert with Nextgen Practice Management and Allscripts Electronic Health Record systems, his work experience and education background as a graduate student in Oregon State University's Master of Public Health program have given him a deep understanding of The Clinic's business operations and philosophy of delivering quality care to patients, said Chief Operating Officer Rod Aust.

"He understands data and how to turn data into meaningful information to improve operations and quality," said Aust. Alyajouri has also worked with the World Health Organization where he gained valuable experience in health technology management. "His work at WHO broadened his world view and his understanding of healthcare and how technology can improve both efficiency and quality of care," Aust said.

Expectations of patients, insurance providers, and the government are greater than ever that physicians will use data to improve and inform their delivery of healthcare, Aust said. "This new position signals our resolve and focus in these areas. Mohamed will provide the leadership and direction to ensure we are able to achieve these expectations," Aust said.

Alyajouri has a bachelor's of science in Health Management and Policy from Oregon State and will graduate with a Master's of Public Health from OSU in December.
