February Is Shaping Up To Be An Interesting Month
Greetings!
In this month's issue I will touch on a few "Hot" topics in advertising.  From HD radio, a slow economy, and finally to blog sites, as I strive to provide brief snapshots into important information.  If you have an idea for March I will explore it in the next issue.
The Economy Is Slowing, Yes,  But Is Your Business?
 
Radio CoolIf you listen to more than 2 minutes of any news broadcast you would know that the economy is slowing.   Yes,  we are not seeing the double digit returns in the housing market.  Yes, we are not able to pull thousands out of a house on whim.  But, we still need medical services, we need to eat, and we will always want more out of life.  I have noticed more people caring about the health of their own bodies.  More people concerned about the growth of their families and the environment that they live in.  And, of course, their overall well being and state of mind.  So, is your business slowing, then perhaps you should consider this fact. When times are good, more of your competitors have money to advertise.  So your "Voice Share" in a community is distributed among more businesses.  When times get tough,  the total number of your competitors keeping their "Voice Share" consistent dwindles.  Simply put, you have an opportunity to dominate with a slightly smaller pool of potential customers.  A critical mistake in times like this is to withdraw your advertising dollar.
 
To Blog, Or Not To Blog.

It has become a familiar buzz word.   "Blog sites".  They are growing at a phenomenal rate and if you do not have a site yet, then you should consider this a warning.  Get one now.  They are often free to start and could reap huge returns on your profits.  With some sweat equity and little investment you could make a huge difference in the success of your business.  Yes, they do take time, but with a little help, they are invaluable.  Check out more about my blog site here: Bay Area Radio Advertising
