VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
|
Eric has
been volunteering with Deliver the Dream since 2007. He goes on at least 3
retreats a year and wishes he could volunteer more. His hearty laugh and big
smile go miles with the families. He is always willing to help-whenever and
wherever. You can always find Eric helping out at fishing or with the kids just
hanging out.
One of his most memorable retreats was for children with cancer
where he met Mackenzie Gonzalez, who gave him the nickname
Shorty (he towers over 6 ft!) She, like many others, is a constant reminder of
how fortunate he is to be able to serve with Deliver the Dream.

X 102.3 Disney Day
|
Deliver the Dream was chosen by radio station WMBX X 102.3 to participate in
their first annual "Crazy About Kidz" contest that took ten of our
families to Disney for a day on Saturday, May 8. DTD families were asked to submit an essay explaining how their DTD experience affected their
lives and why they deserved the Disney trip. Then for 3 weeks in April, Mark McCrazy, host of 102.3's morning show "The McCrazy
Experience", called to surprise the families with
this terrific and unforgettable experience. The
Day at Disney included round trip transportation on board a luxury motor coach,
entrance tickets to Disney and a catered breakfast.
