Publishing Centers Become A Great Source Of Pride For Any School
While most of our publishing schools create their Lintor books in the classroom, computer lab or library, a growing number of schools are discovering the joy of setting up and running their own in-house publishing centers. Students, parents and teachers work together to establish and run an authentic publishing house--a real source of pride for the entire school community.
The set-up for a publishing center can be as varied as the thousands of schools across the county: from sophisticated parent-volunteer-operated centers to small student after school programs-all of them take student publishing projects to a greater level.
Launch your center by having a contest for students to name and design a custom logo. Invite local authors, illustrators and media to reinforce the process. Most importantly, host a young authors' celebration at the end of the school year to share all those magnificent published masterpieces!
