Forget the winter blahs and post-holiday hangover, race season is mere months away - time to start visualizing your 2009 goals and achievements-to-be!  To help get that planning ball rolling, we've pulled out all the stops to have our new race schedule in place as soon as possible.  This year's series of Storm events is more dialed than ever, and we can't wait to see you at the start line!

2009 RACE SEASON IS HERE!

Registration for the 2009 Storm Multi-Sport Adventure Series presented by Salomon is now officially open!  Early entry rates in now in effect until February 15th, allowing teams to save $10/person off of their registration fees. And new for 2009, race souvenirs will be offered to the first 400 racers to sign up for Salomon Storm the Trent on May 9th, and the first 200 racers to register for Salomon Storm the 10 on September 19th.
 
Keep in mind that last year's Storm the Trent was completely sold out within three weeks of Race Day - sign up early to avoid disappointment and to take advantage of the early entry offers!  Online and offline registration options are available now at www.stormevents.ca

Come join Hark Events for a great cool night of adventure racing!  Free info session from 8:00-9:30pm featuring a multimedia presentation that is sure to get your blood pumping - presented by veteran adventure racers Vinson Lee and Heather & Mark Arnold.  Find out how to get started, what to look for in a race, gear and teammate selection, as well as an open Q & A session with experienced racers who are passionate about the sport.

SALOMON DONTGETLOST.CA SNOWSHOE RAID
 
Saturday February 21st - Horseshoe Valley Resort - the Salomon DontGetLost.ca Snowshoe Raid returns!  Elite adventure racer Bob Miller is once again designing a challenging navigation event, where teams of two will tour the countryside in search of as many controls as they can find within the 3-hour time limit.  Consider entering the popular Family Category to show your child why you love adventure sports! (you can return to the lodge any time - no need to stay out for the full 3 hours).a good hike day
 
This year's race also features the first-ever 5K and 10K Raids for soloists, who will follow marked routes through the powder-strewn hills and valleys near Horseshoe Resort.  Although the routes will be marked, competitors should expect to traverse numerous steep hills, valleys & riverside trails.  Full details are available at www.dontgetlost.ca
