New Volunteer at Solar Oregon Ron (Mac) McDowell, Solar Ambassador
This morning I spent a few hours with a bunch of strangers at SOLAR
OREGON headquarters in Portland. This meeting was called by Karrie
Hamilton, SO Volunteer Coordinator, to pull together a group of people
that have an interest in seeing more solar energy in Oregon. Most
everyone in the room was a SO member and several of us were volunteers,
which was the whole point of the meeting. >>Click Here to visit Mac's full blog (scroll up)

A Note from Karrie, Volunteer Coordinator
It is always rewarding to see volunteers like Mac get
involved with our cause of promoting solar energy use throughout the state of Oregon. Volunteer
meetings, as Mac mentioned, are great ways to get linked to other like-minded
professionals. Want to get connected like Mac? Come on out Thursday, March 4th
or Wednesday, March 17th to the Solar Oregon offices to receive more
information on how you can join us in our largest event of the year: Energy
Trust's Better Living Show.

A Note from Markus Stoffel, Executive Director
"Solar Oregon Needs Your Help"
Since 1979 members of Solar Oregon (formerly SEAO, Solar Energy Association of Oregon) have supported our organization through ebbs and flows in the solar industry. Recent developments like higher tax credits (Federal) and reduced costs of photovoltaics, combined with bulk purchasing efforts, have created a flood of interest in solar installations. Solar Oregon, in partnership with Energy Trust, the City of Portland and others, is responding to cities throughout Oregon who want to get on the clean energy bandwagon.
