2009 NW Solar Expo - May 1-3
Save $2 on admission, and support solar education This is the region's premiere solar event, with installers, manufacturers, and educational groups from around the Northwest. If you are looking for an installer, gathering info on new products, or just curious about solar, this is the event for you. You can use our special coupon to save a few bucks and help support solar. Print out as many as you want! For each coupon redeemed, Solar Oregon will get a donation to support more solar education around the state.
Get Involved - Volunteer at the Expo Solar Oregon is once again coordinating volunteers to help out with this great event. We are looking for a few reliable folks to help out for 2-3 hours with the classrooms, info tables, and generally lend a hand. You'll get into the event for free and get to be part of the biggest solar gathering in the region.
If you would like to participate, please send an email to stuart@solaroregon.org. Please indicate which day you are available (Fri, Sat, or Sun) and what time of day you can volunteer (morning or afternoon). Please put "Solar Expo Volunteer" in the subject line.
Thanks for all your help!

Announcing the 2009 Goal Net Zero Tour - May 17, Portland
You are invited to attend this day-long event which tells the story
of three Portland homes attempting Net Zero Energy use. We will begin the day with a workshop to
familiarize you with the strategies and details to look for in each
home on the tour, and to inform you of the financial incentives
available in Oregon. The afternoon tour showcases:
- One home under construction and designed for Net Zero displaying construction details before they are hidden by finishes;
- One recently built and occupied home designed for Net Zero;
- One vintage home in the early stages of renovation with the
goal of Net Zero. This home will host a blower door demonstration,
which measures unplanned air leakage.
To learn more and to purchase tickets please visit the SolarOregon.org/NetZero.
Support for the Goal Net Zero Home Tour has been provided by Urbansun, Cascadia Region Green Building Council, and the Oregon Department of Energy. If interested in sponsoring this event contact michael@solaroregon.org.
All proceeds support Solar Oregon's mission of conducting outreach and education to encourage Oregonians to choose solar energy.
