Greetings!

We hope you can join us at the California Grown Show next Wednesday June 8 in Booth 319. We will have lots of plants on display and for sale and will be looking forward to seeing  as many of you as possible.  More show details are here.
Please join us in welcoming two new members to the Moosa Creek team. Rosalio Ramirez has joined us as a Production Specialist, and Dario Torres has taken the helm as Nursery Foreman. Dario brings over 25 years nursery experience to our team, but more importantly, he loves plants! Nothing makes Dario smile more than to see a plant thriving and pushing out blooms! His dedication and experience, combined with our great palette of native plants is going to knock your socks off!

PLANT OF THE MONTH

Mimulus Puniceus
Red Monkey Flower

This Monkeyflower has stunning red flowers on dark red stems that continue blooming through spring and into summer. It is drought tolerant and a profuse bloomer that can be useful in almost any garden situation. Pinch back to encourage more blooms and give this cheerful plant some partial shade in hot inland sites. Monkeyflowers are  attractive to  both butterflies and hummingbirds. For best appearance cut back aggressively after flowering.

Every purchase of our "Plant of the Month" at our retail nursery partners will generate a $0.50 donation to PLANT WITH PURPOSE to help poor villages in third world economies restore farms, plant trees and create local jobs.
